The Travis County District Clerk Criminal Division is the official keeper of felony records for Austin. This office handles adult felony criminal cases, felony non-disclosure orders, and expunctions. The criminal division is located at the Blackwell-Thurman Criminal Justice Center in the Gault Annex. A separate civil and family records office is located at 1700 Guadalupe. The Odyssey Public Access Portal is Travis County's online case search tool. It lets the public view a register of actions for all cases available to the public. You can see docket entries, court events, charges, and case status for criminal cases filed from 2008 onward. The portal is free and requires no account. The Austin Police Department handles public records requests for incident reports and arrest records. APD records are maintained separately from the Travis County court system.
