Bexar County District Clerk

The Bexar County District Clerk is the official record keeper for civil district court records and criminal felony court records. The office is in the Paul Elizondo Tower at 101 W. The online district clerk criminal records are indexed by the last name of the defendant and available as CSV files updated daily.

The Bexar County court records search allows users to find criminal and civil court case records by entering the last name and first name of the person on the case. Middle initial is optional. For advanced searches, users can search by other information. Online District Clerk Criminal Records provide limited information on each case and are available as CSV format files that can be opened in Excel.

Bexar County Sheriff Central Records

Services available from Central Records include mugshot requests (email record@bexar.org with full name, SID number, or date of birth), inmate information via the inmate information line at (210) 335-6201 (you need the full name and date of birth), and open records requests submitted through the GovQA Public Information Request Center. Offense and incident reports can also be requested by providing the case number or date, location, and the name of the complainant, then emailing record@bexar.org.

Bexar County Criminal Court System

Felony cases in Bexar County are filed with the District Clerk and assigned to one of several Criminal District Courts. The courts are housed in the Paul Elizondo Tower in downtown San Antonio. Criminal Operations files all felony indictments, issues subpoenas, sets the case for first settings, and processes all criminal appeals and post-conviction writs.

The court operates a standard Texas felony process: grand jury indictment, arraignment, pre-trial motions, plea or trial, sentencing, and potential appeal. Each step creates official records stored by the District Clerk.

The San Antonio Municipal Court at 100 Dolorosa, San Antonio, TX 78205 handles Class C misdemeanors and traffic violations. That court has its own Central Magistrate for 24-hour arrest searches, phone (210) 207-7532. Municipal Court records are separate from District Court felony records.
